FAQ's​​​

How do I book an appointment?

Found above: Enquiry form, phone call or by WhatsApp whichever method you prefer.  If you have preferred dates and times please do always make them known at the earliest opportunity.​​ Once you're request has been received Emalee will be in contact to secure the date.

Are appointments available during daytime hours?

Yes, appointments are available during daytime hours. Day time clinics available on Tuesday, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Are appointments available during evening hours?

Yes, evening appointments are available most evenings other than Mondays.

​

Is there dedicated free parking?

Yes, there is dedicated free parking on site for everyone.

​

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

There is no charge for cancellations, but please kindly try to give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

How do I pay for my appointment?

Payment is preferred by bank transfer or cash. Card payments can be accepted if necessary. Bank details will be provided when confirming your booking.

How long do appointments last?

Appointments typically last 30–60 -90 minutes, depending on the treatment.​

What should I wear during a reflexology session?

All clothes are kept on during a reflexology session. However, it’s best to wear something comfortable, ideally with bottoms that can easily be rolled up. In some cases, Emalee may work up to the knee or elbow during treatment.

Are there any contraindications to Reflexology?

Yes

Reflexology should not be performed if any of the following conditions are present:

  1. Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or risk of blood clots​

  2. Severe circulatory disorders​

  3. Infectious skin conditions​

  4. Fever or acute infection​

  5. Recent surgery or fractures​

  6. During pregnancy complications unless medical clearance is received​

  7. Severe osteoporosis or fragile bones​

If you feel you may trigger any of these contraindications please remember that each case is reviewed as an individual so please do get in contact with Emalee first before dismissing the possibility of Reflexology as a complimentary therapy option.  In some cases you may be required to obtain medical clearance from your GP first to ensure that it is safe for you to be treated.

What is a treatment reaction in reflexology?
A treatment reaction is a short-term response your body may have after a reflexology session. This can include feeling more tired than usual, increased energy, changes in sleep, heightened emotions, or temporary physical symptoms such as mild headache or increased need to use the toilet. These reactions are generally positive signs that the body is rebalancing and will usually settle within 24–48 hours.​

Can I bring a carer or chaperone with me, are chaperones ever required?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a carer or chaperone if needed. Also a chaperone Is always required to be present with minors at all times throughout treatment. â€‹â€‹â€‹

Will I receive aftercare or advice?

Yes, aftercare guidance and advice are provided as standard for all clients following their appointment these can range in complexity.

Are there toilets on site?

Yes, toilets there is a dedicated treatment room toilet available for all clients.​​
