Hello, and thank you for taking a little time to read about me.
I know choosing a complementary therapist can feel a bit like scrolling through endless profiles wondering, "Who actually feels right?" so I truly appreciate you being here.
A little about me
I'm Emalee, a level 5 Reflexology and Holistic Practitioner, 44-year-old mum to two beautiful children (12 and 3), and partner.
I was lucky to grow up in a family who were interested in the healing arts and this great interest was sprinkled over me as a child. In 2001 I began to study, read and practice holistic therapies, all whilst working in offices, then after having children the perfect balance was achieved and ReflexEm was born. Creating ReflexEm has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey because it allows me to share this work with others in a meaningful way.
Over the years I have explored a wide range of holistic, introspective and energetic therapies, some of which have remained central to my practice. Being a Practitioner in Reflexology sits at the heart of my work today, supported by a blend of holistic energy work, aromatherapy, crystals, tuning forks, Ayurveda and positive affirmations where appropriate.
My style
As a Reflexologist I enjoy a good range of techniques and I am so grateful for this fantastic inclusive therapy. Sometimes a reflex point must be treated with extreme care and othertimes it requires a greater level of activation.. My style however typically arises from moments of pause between technique its not a conversation of words, but a conversation through the treatment itself and over the years I have learned to listen for the small changes and allow them to guide sessions.
Where I am now
This year marks five years of ReflexEm, the treatment space really is fabulous and I could not of done it without the help of Martyn who really understood what was needed to make the perfect space!
As always, this year I continue to learn and evolve. At present I am deepening my understanding of Ayurvedic healing traditions, whose wisdom has begun to influence my thinking in new, exciting, yet ancient ways.
From this study, new treatments will emerge, and I look forward to sharing them with you when the time is right.
For now, I hope this little glimpse into my world has helped you get to know me a little better. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I'm always happy to help.
Much love,
Emalee P.S. Before I forget, do take a look at the Specials page — there may be something a little different there waiting for you.
